"27 Dec 2005 An electronic dictionary is only as good as the database from which it is compiled, and that''s part of why this app only got four stars and not five - there are some weird meanings and translations here and there, and parts of speech and roots are not indicated in Hebrew. You can partially overcome this by making your own additions to the database, and it would be great if Paragon supported a Wikipedia-like webpage where people could upload their modified dictionary files. It is awesome to walk around with this much information easily accessable in your pocket, and the interface makes it easy to access: It has a well designed shell that works flawlessly. It is possible to go from Hebrew-English to English-Hebrew with a single tap. Cut and paste are supported, a flash-card learning utility is included as is "word-of-the-day". The dictionary database can be stored on an expansion card, so you don''t sacrifice very much memory to gain access to all this data. I had problems with the resident module, but found I rarely use it so I disabled it and didn''t pursue the issue with Paragon, who''s support is usually very prompt and to the point. Very much worth the price for me."
"Hebrew is my second language, and I occasionally receive email Hebrew and view Hebrew web pages. I am studying Arabic at this time and I expect to at least read Arabic web pages. The dictionary is important because of course my vocabulary will be limited, at least for awhile"
